Electronic Reference Books

The library's online databases offer a number of electronic reference books that can be accessed from everywhere, including these:

Print Reference Books

The library also has books in our reference collection for psychology and counseling. Note that if a book’s call number begins with the letters REF, it is a reference copy and it cannot be checked out of the library.

Library Subscriptions

The library’s subscriptions include some journals related to counseling and therapy. The following links will take you to the journal detail page, where you can browse issues of the journal or search within the publication.

To find out what other journals the library has access to, use the publication finder

Open Access Journals

Many Open Access journals are freely available online and are high quality, peer-reviewed resources. Here are links to some Open Access counseling and psychology journals:

If you're interested in finding more Open Access journals, check out the Directory of Open Access Journals.

Library Databases

You can search most of the library's resources through the discovery search at the library's homepage. However, you may want to narrow your search results by search in individual databases.
